We went to Florida this past Feb and rented a 4 bedroom Villa in Davenport, FL while we were down there. I agree it's so much better than staying at a resort/hotel. I know that's the only way we will go if we are going to be staying at one place for a long time. Regarding ear popping... I just had my kids drink out of their sippy cups (the kind with the straws) and they never had any problems. Have fun on your trip! For me, I just try to force myself to yawn. That always seems to work for me. For the kids, suckers seem to do the trick. I think it's the constant saliva and swallowing that keeps the kids happy.
