As a child of the digital age, my 6 month old daughter loves anything technology related. Looking at the screen saver on the iMac, hitting the keyboard and reaching for and trying to use the Harmony multi-function remote.
Being a parent of the digital age, and a HiTech Dad, I have more than a few keyboard lying around. A perfect cost efficient toy for my daughter came in the form of an old Microsoft Natural Keyboard with the cord cut off for safety.
It goes something like this:
The next invention, taking an old pee cee, hooking up a keyboard to that with some music response.

My kids play with the defunct laptop and love it! It’s crazy. they also have old cell phones that we just keep charging, the 1 year old especially loves that!
lol. my 6 month old daughter is starting to get interested in my Macbook pro! i was at the Apple store and she LOVED the iphone that i was testing.
i have an old pc that i’ll have to setup for her… maybe. although i might want to spare her any windows trauma.
LOL I love it, getting the kidlets into it young.
