I just finished watching the live blog of the iPhone/iPhone SDK announcement over at Gizmodo Holy crap! I now must own one of these! I was holding off before since while cool, there was no killer app. I saw. Much too crackberry like, email and web. Blah.
Now there are going to be games, push email syncing, and $100,00,000 in funds from Kleiner Perkins to fund people building iPhone apps. Of all the things announced the fund is probably the biggest deal. This will draw developers like flies. With more developers you have more apps and better apps. We have just witnessed the birth of the next leap forward in computing.

hopefully, the funding won’t spoil the open source goodness that has been happening lately. i would LOVE to see the developers, who are working their hearts out for free, get a fat contract (read: $$).
i also REALLY want an iPhone!
