OCD About Temperature?

For those of us dads who are obsessive-compulsive about our child’s nursery environment, I bring you, remote temperature thermometer. We live in an old “breathable”, two-story house with hot water radiator heat. At times, the temperature can fluctuate from room-to-room.

So the search commenced for a temperature thermometer which would be placed in her room with out being to much of a hassle. At the hardware store, I stumbled across affordable digital thermometer sensors by Taylor USA.

I procured a Taylor USA Model #1453 Wireless Indoor / Outdoor with Remote Sensor for $29.99. For the price, you get a main temperature unit and a remote sensor. The remote sensor is trick because it can also be used to monitor the temperature of liquids (think aquariums, etc). I like the main display, the numbers are easy to read and you can switch between remote sensors with the touch of a button. The range is decent as well, I have the remote sensor on the 2nd floor and the main unit on the first floor at the other end of the house.

After a few minutes of putzing around with package removal and battery installation, I now have a temperature sensor in my daughters bedroom which I can monitor remotely. If I feel really sexy, I can also add up to 2 additional temperature sensors.

At the end of the day, I highly recommend the Taylor product.
